We did it and your daily votes helped get us there! On February 23 the Pepsi Refresh Everything Challenge votes were validated. GLSEN was the recipient of a $250,000 grant to help place Safe Space Kits in 10,000 schools. See what Eliza Byard had to say the morning after the voting concluded.

| GLSEN's Education Department Gives Trainings in NV, OK |
GLSEN's Education Department has been on the move, traveling to Nevada and Oklahoma to work with both corporate and community partners. We helped educate school lunchroom staff and trained middle and high school educators about the needs of LGBT youth.

| March 4th is the new deadline for submissions to the No Name-Calling Week Creative Expression Contest. This year we have had some amazing artwork submitted and we want to make sure that all schools have an opportunity to submit their students’ entries. |

| Safe Schools State(ment) Update - February 2011 |
| State legislative sessions are well underway, and 2011 has brought a mix of very promising safe schools bills and very disappointing legislative measures that harm and isolate LGBT students. GLSEN is working with partner organizations to stymie these negative measures. |

Our Network now contains 34 Chapters around the country. The seven new chapters are: Houston, New Hampshire, Southeast Michigan, Southern Nevada, East Tennessee, Middle Tennessee, and Orlando. We'd like to introduce you to five of them.
