My husband Teddy was honored to serve in the United States Senate. He believed the Senate was where people came together to lead our nation into new chapters in history.
But for all the incredible political victories he accomplished, he hoped that his passion for civic involvement would be his true lasting legacy.
I wanted to let you know: we’re just one day away from bringing that legacy to life. Tomorrow, April 8th, we are holding a groundbreaking ceremony for the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate on the campus of UMass Boston, right next to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library.
You can help build this new American landmark and be a part of this historic occasion. Make a special contribution to the EMK Institute today:

Teddy loved history. He believed that by immersing ourselves in the history of our Founding Fathers and reliving the great debates of our time, we could remember the complex problems we’ve overcome and the solutions we’ve achieved.
No task was too great and no problem was too challenging – so long as we continued to pass the torch to a new generation of Americans ready to serve.
The goals of the Edward M. Kennedy Institute are to:
- Educate the public about our government
- Invigorate public discourse, and
- Most importantly, inspire the next generation of leaders to engage in the public square.
Please make a contribution to the Edward M. Kennedy Institute to help our ongoing construction and programmatic planning:

Thank you,
Vicki Kennedy
