Attorney General Eric Holder must resign or be fired for ignoring the DOJ Mission Statement.

We call on Attorney General Eric Holder to resign or be fired for using the U.S. Department of Justice to selectively defend laws that are blatantly unfair and biased against the GLBT community, and repeatedly using the DOJ to oppose court decisions which do administer justice for the GLBT community.

Department of Justice Mission Statement- To enforce the law and defend the interests of the United States according to the law; to ensure public safety against threats foreign and domestic; to provide federal leadership in preventing and controlling crime; to seek just punishment for those guilty of unlawful behavior; and to ensure fair and impartial administration of justice for all Americans.

So why is Attorney General Holder so adamant about performing his duties as described in that first sentence of the DOJ Mission, while so obviously ignoring his duties in the last sentence? The ACLU has come out in clear opposition to challenging Federal Judge decisions granting GLBT Americans equality in both DADT and DOMA decisions, and a number of US Senators have also petitioned the White House to allow these rulings from various federal courts to stand. However the adamant defense of the clearly biased laws leads to the conclusion that this Department of Justice, under Eric Holder, is homophobic. Mr. Holder should either be asked to or forced to resign.
