Homosexuality legal but problematic in China

Being gay has been legal in China for more than a decade, but that does not mean life is easy for those who choose same sex partners.

Homosexuality was removed as a crime in 1997 and taken off the list of mental illness in 2001.

The pressure to marry and produce male offspring, however, remains huge.
