Pentagon Study Approves End to DADT Action Diary

By Julian Domain -

After months of hand wringing and pearl clutching by our military establishment. The great fear that someone might look at their giblets in the shower has been shown to be baseless. Based on the skewed to hate teh ghey survey they tried to use and reinforce their archaic and unfounded viewpoints.
According to this article even creating a biased poll was not enough to fool the average American solder that their comrades in arms were there to cruse.
Now we can start looking at making sure that those LGB solders in theatre can have contact with their families at home just like the non-LGB solders. There is a whole slew of unfairness that needs to be rectified as soon as solders no longer has to worry that who they may happen to love will be used against them.
From the NPR story:
The study found that 70 percent of troops surveyed believed that repealing the law would have mixed, positive or no effect, while 30 percent predicted negative consequences. Opposition was strongest among combat troops, with at least 40 percent saying it was a bad idea. That number climbs to 46 percent among Marines.
The study also draws a strong correlation between troops who have worked with a gay service member and those who support repeal. According to the assessment, 92 percent of troops who have served with someone they believed to be gay thought that their unit's ability to work together was either very good, good, or neither good nor poor.
Contact the White House, the Senate, and the House of Representatives now and tell them to end this unfair law.

-end-
