First anti-equality forces in the Iowa House introduced a resolution calling for a general vote on ending any recognition for gay and lesbian families: No marriage, no domestic partnerships, no civil unions.
But they're setting a chilling precedent with House File 330, the Immediate Marriage Ban: Now they've proposed putting a stop to gay and lesbian weddings until the general public can vote on the freedom to marry.
Iowans have said over and over they want the legislature to concentrate on jobs and the economy, not waste our precious time and money on issues that further divide us instead of make us stronger.
