Coronation Street's lesbian lovers: We'll quit if they split us up

Brooke Vincent and Sacha Parkinson were pictured in saucy bunny outfits for the interview

Coronation Street's lesbian lovers, Brooke Vincent and Sacha Parkinson, have revealed that they would quit the show if bosses split them up.

The pair, who play on-screen couple Sophie Webster and Sian Powers, dressed up in naughty bunny girl outfits for their interview with Heat magazine.
Sophie and Sian are the first lesbian couple in Coronation Street, and have been a big hit with viewers.
The pair revealed that being involved in such a high-profile storyline comes with responsibility, with fans saying they have been encouraged to come out after watching the show.
Brooke, who plays Sophie, said: 'We get so protective about it. If someone says we shouldn't be able to kiss because it's on at that time of night, we're like, "OK, so Tina and Graeme can't kiss either?" You feel a part of it.'
Brooke then revealed she would leave the soap if they mess with Sophie and Sian's relationship, admitting: 'If they split us up, I'd leave.
'It's made too much impact for them to break it up. It's gone past the line.'
Co-star Sacha added: 'Everyone at Corrie understands what a big deal it is to be gay, and it'd be really nice to put that message out to people.
'When other soaps have experimented with lesbian characters, it's always ended up being a phase, which is why Coronation Street wanted to go all out and make it a proper love story.'
