Maryland's Judicial Proceedings Committee is scheduled to take up a bill to legalize same-sex marriage on February 8th.
Send the committee members a message that Maryland must do what is right.
Legislator,
On February 8th, the Judicial Proceedings Committee will hear the Religious Freedom and Civil Marriage Protection Act.
Maryland already recognizes legal same-sex marriages that are performed elsewhere. There are nearly 180,000 gay and lesbian residents in Maryland that would be able to benefit from this law.
Please consider the economic benefits this bill would bring into the state with hotels rented, dinners served, cakes made and everything else that contributes to a marriage ceremony.
This bill is fair and right for Maryland. Please pass it.[Your name]
